Triple Launch: Building a Sustainable Queer Nightlife in London

Join us on UCL campus to celebrate the launch of three timely pieces of work, from Arts Council England, UCL Urban Laboratory and Autonomy think-tank. The new Arts Council England-funded report on the impact of COVID-19 on queer creatives, ‘Building a Sustainable Queer Nightlife in London: Queer Creatives, COVID-19 and Community in the Capital’, documents the economic, cultural and health impacts of COVID-19, lockdowns and social restrictions, and considers the extent that cultural and policy interventions could make queer nightlife in London more sustainable. This report will be presented alongside two related recent publications: ‘Reimagining the Night’ (the latest issue of UCL Urban Laboratory’s Urban Pamphleteer), and ‘Working Nights: Municipal Strategies for Nocturnal Workers’ from Autonomy. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the authors and receive hard copies of the reports and Urban Pamphleteer.
